METROLINK, the commuter railway company, is proud to serve as the LINK between six Southern California counties with safe, seamless, and reliable transportation and connectivity.
Challenge
METROLINK has a similar name to its strongest and well known competitor Metro, which is the largest commuter railway in LA. The new branding system is seeking for a way to emphasis the visual elements and the idea of LINK.
Brand Statement
The new METROLINK is about pleasing travel and connections between LA counties. Every detail from the train exterior to the online service conveys the relaxing experience of riding with METROLINK.
Logo Concept
The stroke lines conveys the speedy and powerful service of METROLINK. These strokes are lined up and divided in an consistent spacing, which transporting people between and connected the five counties in Los Angels. The titled angle of the strokes also shows an strong directional, referring to its leading positions in consumer services. The new identity expressed more in the way of directions.
