MYST is a premium self-tanning product line that delivers an uplifting experience for applications.
Challenge
When speaking of self-tanning, people would immediately think of dirty, messy and heavy. In order to create a brand-new experience of tanning application for costumers, delivering the sense of uplifting and lightweight become the crucial key for the new packaging direction.
Branding Concepts
This redesign, inspired by the nature of sun light, which is invisible, colorless, weightless, but powerful. Even using the sunless tanners, the new design solution would still deliver the same natural power of the sun, with an uplifted experience of product applications.

Form Developments
All forms were first designed in sketches and modeled in SolidWorks. The physical models were 3D printed, then sanding, painting and composing by hands.

Logo Concept
The bolded and condensed logotype balance out the lightweight clear bottle, settle everything up in the air down to the ground. The curvature on letter "n" borrows the curve on the MYST spray form, creating the uplifting feeling as well in the heavy logo.
